Everything began with the housewarming party of Juliet and Shawn. And seeing the two in a good and legalized relationship was really nice. And the parents being at loggerheads did not seem to matter too much for them. Henry having ideas about Juliet’s Stepfather was hilarious. Henry seemed to be disheartened that Lloyd did not take after Frank. And the two did look more like a mature Shawn and Gus.
Though Henry looked like he was enacting Gus’s part as the loyal sidekick, Lloyd made up well for the part of the nosey one, who lands himself in trouble at the slightest provocation just like Shawn.
The whole episode was centered on Henry, which does not happen frequently, so it was wonderful to watch the drama unfold. Corbin Bernsen did ample justice to the role.
The way Henry and Jeffrey Tambor confronted each other was certainly interesting to watch. The scene, which had Henry think wrongly that Lloyd was dead and his long talk about how he had had great fun with him in a long time was downright hilarious to see.
But the revealing of Juliet’s parents was an anticlimax of sorts and this is mainly because of Shawn taking over from her in that area. With Corbin Bernsen and Cybil Shepherd, as Shawn’s parents the star value of Juliet’s father, who is played by William Shatner and Step dad by Jeffrey Tambor did not count that much.
On the whole, the episode was fun to watch and it served as a nice lead to the upcoming hundredth episode of the show. There were some real momentous scenes present in the episode that were worth watching.
Gus seemed to be talking on endlessly about how good his family was and how wrong it was on his part to leave them. And his disclosure to Shawn about his desire to be the Legend, instead of the Black Von Trapps was amusing. And the scenes that had the new appliances and the gifts received at the housewarming of Shawn and Juliet were interesting to watch. Henry’s Mexican trip was funny and interesting too. The cabbage patch moves of Henry were also quite funny to watch.
And for avid Psyche fans, the 100th episode has finally arrived and is to be aired next Wednesday. With the events of this episode, it seems like more interesting drama is waiting to be unfolded, in the upcoming landmark episode of the show.
